Jul 25, 2019 Apple is apparently moving on from its infamous butterfly keyboard. According to Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo (via MacRumors), the company will introduce a scissor-switch keyboard design in its 16. Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider will service eligible MacBook, MacBook Air, and MacBook Pro keyboards, free of charge. The type of service will be determined after the keyboard is examined and may involve the replacement of one or more keys or the whole keyboard. Magic Keyboard, Magic Keyboard with Numeric Keypad, Magic Mouse 2, and Magic Trackpad 2 have a built-in rechargeable battery that lets you use the devices for extended periods between charges. You can check your device's charge level by choosing its name from the Bluetooth icon in the menu bar at the top of the screen.
Using all-Apple Thunderbolt hardware to kill my MacBook
Mythrashingandcrashingwith my new 2020 MacBook Air and Thunderbolt devices has another chapter: I can now reproduce it without a funny Thunderbolt 3 dock! Yep, that's right, I've reduced it to a set of Thunderbolt devices which have one common trait:
They all were made by Apple.
There's no Belkin dock and there's no OWC dock. Nope. This is Apple on Apple badness now.

Here's what you do.
Parts:
- Computer: Apple MacBook Air ('Retina, 13-inch, 2020'), lid open.
- OS: Apple macOS Catalina 10.15.7 (aka 'the latest stable release')
- Outstanding upgrades available: NONE
- Apple Thunderbolt Display (Thunderbolt 2, circa 2014)
- Apple Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 adapter (USB-C plug on one side, Thunderbolt 2 port on the other)
- Logitech K120 keyboard ($10 POS keyboard available EVERYWHERE)
- Logitech M500 corded mouse ($30 POS mouse available EVERYWHERE)
Initial connections: Apple hard disk 1tb.
- Keyboard to TB display.
- Mouse to TB display.
- TB display's cable to TB3-TB2 adapter.
- TB3-TB2 adapter into rearmost USB-C port on MBA.
Log catcher:
Run netcat on another machine someplace that your MBA can connect to. Have it listen on a port. You'll need to watch this for activity later.
Steps to break the box:
- Make initial connections. Restart machine.
- Log in from external keyboard.
- Start log stream in Terminal: log stream 2>&1 | nc host port &
- Apple menu -> Sleep
- Wake machine from external mouse
- Apple menu -> Sleep
- Disconnect TB3->TB2 adapter from MBA
- Wait for log stream to stop (this may take a minute or two)
- Reconnect TB3->TB2 adapter to same port on MBA
- Attempt to wake the machine from external keyboard or mouse

At this point, it will fail to wake from the external devices.You will have to wake it up from the internal keyboard/trackpad. If the external keyboard and mouse are somehow still working, go back and try it again, but wait longer for the log stream to stop. Pdf software for windows free download.
